For public buildings or publicly accessible structures – such as hospitals, schools, kindergartens and churches, but also bus stops, playgrounds and sports facilities – the law requires the installation of a lightning protection system appropriate to the building and its requirements.
Unless more specific specifications are given, a lightning protection system of at least Class III is recommended. As a rule, however, the first step requires a risk analysis in accordance with DIN EN 62305-2 (VDE 0185-305-2), during which our experienced and competent engineering experts discuss with you as the client the lightning protection requirements that are determined by the building and its architecture or the conditions of the system and the impact of a lightning strike.
On this basis, we assess whether a specified tolerable risk of a lightning strike is exceeded or not. On the basis of computer-aided risk planning, we develop a technically and economically sustainable protection concept for the event that this risk is exceeded, which includes both external and internal lightning protection in equal measure.
You can then expect a professional installation from our qualified installation personnel. It goes without saying that we will also support you in the long term with personalised support and a reliable maintenance and repair service.
